Wax Removal

Earwax is natural and helps protect your ears, but too much can cause problems like hearing loss or tinnitus.

Many GP practices no longer offer wax removal. At Gt Yarmouth Hearing Care, we offer daily appointments and can often remove wax the same day.

If it can’t all be removed in one visit, a follow-up appointment is included at no extra cost.

Wax removal costs £60, including any follow up review.

Did You Know?

It is estimated that there are approximately 12 million people in this country with some form of hearing loss. Making it the second most common disability in the UK.

However, as an invisible disability, it often goes unnoticed. Making it easier for those living with hearing loss to be ignored or forgotten.

Micro-Suction

Micro-suction uses a gentle medical vacuum to remove earwax from the ear canal. It’s less invasive than irrigation and is preferred by most patients.

Ear Irrigation

Irrigation is a traditional way to remove earwax. Modern machines now replace old syringes, using a controlled stream of water to gently flush the ear.

Instrumentation

Specialist tools are used to gently remove earwax or foreign objects from the ear canal. This method can also help loosen or lift stubborn wax.
